ARTFULLY AVOIDING THE LANDFILL (& driving my husband crazy) ONE PIECE OF JUNK AT A TIME

6/19/10

Birthday Boy

Sure hope you've missed me as much as I've missed being here!  The "issues" we've been dealing with that robbed me of time to play on the computer are too numerous to mention, but the BIG problem was my hard drive crashing!  All seems to be well now, but of, course I lost a lot of stuff and had to start all over from scratch downloading, upgrading & installing.  Ug.

However, we did manage to squeeze in the important things... like Chandler's 4th Birthday celebration!

You could taste the excitement in the air : )  He received his special birthday hat at Preschool and was very careful with it all day.  He had to make sure it fit securely too, hence the Star Trek ears.

Of course there was birthday gift overload...

I'm not sure Chandler was able to pick out his favorite gift.  He loved them all.  His Daddy, on the other hand, didn't seem to have a problem picking out his favorite!

You cannot believe how fast a 4-year-old can move.  In less than 7.5 minutes, the gifts were open and the boys were outside playing with even more gifts.  I was left in the aftermath trying to keep up with everything!

Ethan opted for golf right away.  He's really got good form for a beginner!

Chandler was ready to ride his new bike, but he wasn't happy with the "steering" (training) wheels.  He begged and begged his Daddy to "TAKE THEM OFF"!

So, Daddy took them off and put on the safety gear.

Chandler could barely contain his excitement!

And so it was - life without training wheels.

For about 5 minutes.

Not to worry, that is not a picture of pain.  It is the agony of defeat.  He is screaming, "PUT THEM BACK ON DADDY!"

So Daddy put them back on and the birthday party ended happily ever after : )
