Pot Party

Can you believe it? 2000, TWO THOUSAND followers!

Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors is having a fabulous, fun-filled party in celebration of 2000 followers.  Heck, I'm not surprised.  Her stuff and her site is soooooooo cool.  If you haven't been there, you are really missing out!

Not only is she talented, she's fun!  There's always something going on over there: giveaways, showcases of talent from blogshpere and tutorials on everything from improving your blog to clipping your toenails.  Well, maybe not clipping your toenails, but if you're into being creative, making something from nothing or just like to blog browse, her site is fully loaded!

Today she's having a pot party along with another fabulous giveaway! Yep, a pot party.  She wants to know what you would do with a clay pot.  Well, here's what I'd do:

I'd paint 'em up pretty and have a TACO pot party!

Finally, a fun project we all really enjoyed.  It included their, "what's for supper?" query!

  4. Coleen!
I should have known you'd come up with something spectacular. (especially when you asked me if I had something to post for this party! ha! )

Love the buffet/taco service set. It is great, and the graphics on the side are fun too.
did you have to do anything special to treat them? I see most of them are lined.

    great idea.

  5. Ole'! What a fun idea! I'm sure the kids love it too. One question, are the insides painted also for the salsa ones?

  6. To answer the questions.... no. I didn't do anything special to them. BUT I made sure I lined everything with aluminum foil and baking paper or napkins so nothing would leach into the food. For the salsa pot, I had a little bowl that fit into it perfectly around the top rim, so the salsa is in the jar, not the pot. I ran out of time - and the weather isn't conducive to spray painting - so I just brushed a clear coat onto the areas I painted. I will spray them inside and out before I use them again.

  9. Oh this is great. I do a salad bar pot-luck to top-off a nutrition unit every year for 50 hungry third graders. I am thinking... they could decorate the pots before hand and then all the salad bar fixings could go inside. What inspiration you are. Thanks so much. Also thank you for visiting my blog. I am just getting started and you made my day with your comment about the hall tree. Thank You.
